| With continuing market concerns pertaining to subprime mortgages, asset-backed commercial paper, corporate write-offs and the expectation of another shoe or two to drop many investors remain quite fearful and shell-shocked. Moreover, as we are now in the midst of tax-loss selling season, stock market trading has become quite thin and extremely volatile. Once again, it is our view that amidst all this erratic trading, anxiety and lack of investor conviction there is considerable opportunity for those who are patient and disciplined.
