| Stock market volatility has increased significantly over the past two months.
This is largely due to rising investor fears relating to U.S. sub-prime
mortgages and Canadian asset-backed commercial paper. As a result of this
financial uncertainty, many investors have simply stepped away from the
marketplace and common share prices have drifted lower. Ultimately, they
have created a virtual "buyer's boycott". This reaction, we believe, will
