| Stock market volatility has increased significantly over the past two months.
This is largely due to rising investor fears relating to U.S. sub-prime
mortgages and Canadian asset-backed commercial paper. As a result of this
financial uncertainty, many investors have simply stepped away from the
marketplace and common share prices have drifted lower. Ultimately, they
have created a virtual "buyer's boycott". This reaction, we believe, will
produce opportunities for astute and patient stock pickers who discover that
many investors in their fearful rush for liquidity, have "thrown the baby out
with the bathwater". |
