We are presently confronted by innumerable major international and political
events combined with the seasonal summer doldrums.
For instance: international terrorism, mid-east turmoil, North Korea sabre-rattling, $75 oil
and $1.10 a litre gasoline, fears of a North American housing market debacle and
a serious economic downturn are only a few of many factors scaring off stock
market investors. As a result we are currently witnessing incredible stock
price volatility. In fact, it is not unusual to experience triple digit stock
market moves in a day with a similar triple digit reverse over the next 24
hours. In spite of all this volatility, we remain optimistic and suggest that
investors focus on investment clarity and long term returns to opportunistically
purchase occasionally mispriced common shares. |
